Here's how the Top 5 Clashers prepared for the 'Final Clash'
Shortly before they took to the stage for the grand finale, "The Clash" Top 5 finalists Garrett Bolden, Golden Cañedo, Jong Madaliday, Josh Adornado and Mirriam Manalo shared in a Facebook Live Q&A how they prepared to hit the stage for the "Final Clash."
Golden, who is the youngest among the Clashers, she said she prayed a lot, drank honey, slept early, and laughed a lot.
"Nag-pray lang po ako, tapos po natulog po ako nang maaga. Bawas bawas FB na, ako po opo, umiinom po ako [ng honey], tumatawa lang ako ng tumatawa para hindi po magkeep yung voice ko dito kasi po malamig dito eh."
Mirriam, likewise, also prayed and even paid a visit to church to ask guidance for her performance.
"Ako kasi ang pinaka ano ko diyan yung prayers talaga, pumunta ako ng church kahit 'di pa ako nanalo nagpapasalamat na ako kay God na nakakapunta ako dito, pinag-pray ko lang na sana maganda performance ko, hindi ako makatulog kagabi, kasi alam mo yung pressured ka di mo alam ano mangyayare you just need to be ready."
Josh, on the other hand, got sick, a day before the final night, so he had to go on a total voice rest, drinking a lot of water and medicines to relieve and restore his voice.
"Nagkasakit ako so ang preparations ko for tonight total voice rest, a lot of medicine, importante talaga na pag may mga nararamdaman especially sa mga singers na magpacheck up talaga kasi para hindi siya lumala para malaman yung roo tof cause, rest and a lot of water too."
Garrett meanwhile admitted he was a ball of nerves and had a hard time sleeping. "Nahirapan ako matulog kasi nag-iisip ako, 'what will happen today?' I had to calm myself para makatulog ako," he told hosts Andre Paras and Joyce Pring.
Jong had a more relaxing preparation through facial and a haircut, "parang kailangan ko po kasi na magpa-trim ng hair pero wala po nagbago," he joked. — LA, GMA News
