Rhian Ramos on working with JM de Guzman: ‘It’s a full circle moment’
At the press launch of ‘Kung Paano Siya Nawala,” Rhian Ramos admitted to having a high school crush on JM de Guzman, her leading man of the said movie that they are both co-executive producers of.
“Hindi na ko natatakot kasi tapos na. Na-in love na ko kay JM,” Rhian candidly confessed, answering a question about whether or not she was afraid she might fall in love with her leading man.

According to the Kapuso actor, she had met a certain Juan Miguel de Guzman back when she was 15 years old. Back then, she attended an event upon an invitation from a tita who was in Artist Center, and JM happened to be there.
“He looked different. He was kalbo, and he had a hiphop outfit on, and medyo chubby pa siya. When I met him at that event, for two weeks straight, punong-puno yung notebooks ko ng [doodles] ‘Juan Miguel de Guzman’.”
Rhian said, she had told Director Joel Ruiz about her old crush for JM, when they first met, [pero] “hindi ko ma-connect na si JM de Guzman at si Juan Miguel de Guzman at that time, is the same guy,” she said, adding, “I kept googling him.”
Said Rhian, it was only after they finished the movie that Rhian finally admitted to JM about her old crush on him.
“It’s a full circle moment. Ang tagal na nung nagtatanong kung paano kami nag-meet so inamin ko na, [pero] inintay ko after [shooting]. And halos every shooting day, tinatanong ako ni direk, ‘sinabi mo na?’”
According to Rhian, she and JM would often argue about their first meeting. “Iba ‘yong idea niya kung paano kami nag-meet na hindi ko rin naaalala; sa awards show daw,” Rhian narrated.
In the movie, she plays Shana, a free-spirited woman who gets into a relationship with Lio, played by JM, who is plagued with face blindness. — LA, GMA News
