Falcis brother to Kris: ‘Don’t mess with 2 gay brothers, the truth’
Kris Aquino's legal battle against the Falcis brothers entered another chapter on Wednesday when Atty. Jesus “Jess” Falcis, the younger brother of her ex-business partner Nicko Falcis, said that the self-styled queen of all media was up against “two gay brothers” who have the “truth on their side.”
The younger Falcis brother called a press conference on Wednesday, during which he broke his silence and called out what he described to be her “lies,” “hypocrisy” and alleged efforts to “silence” critics like himself.
The sister of former President Benigno Aquino III had lodged a complaint for nine counts of cyberlibel against the lawyer over allegedly "defamatory statements" he made against her on social media.

In his defense, the lawyer said that he did not identify the TV personality when he tweeted about a certain “crazy rich Asian” who was allegedly paying a certain “dilawan blogger” P25,000 a month.
Denying that the tweet was libelous, Falcis presented an Instagram post in which Aquino supposedly admitted giving money to a blogger as a “boost” in order to protect her brother, former President Benigno Aquino III, from online trolls.
Jess called Aquino a “hypocrite.”
“It’s hypocritical for her to file a libel case when Kris Aquino was the first one to libel my brother. Any libelous statements I made against her are in defense of my brother’s reputation, a defense recognized in libel cases,” said Jess.
Jess questioned Aquino’s recent revelations about her medical condition on social media, remarking that the public figure was being “pa-victim” about it.
He presented in his statement a photo of a medical certificate, saying: “A medical certificate (Aquino) gave to my brother to give to her endorsers because of cancelled shoots show that she knew as early as June that she had 'chronic uticaria.' Another case of lying."
As regards Kris Aquino's claim that said she only discovered she had “chronic spontaneous uticaria” in October 2018, Falcis presented a medical certificate which indicated otherwise.
Aquino, nevertheless, admitted in an Instagram post on Tuesday that she was wrong to cast blame on her former business partner and accountant for her illness for she has known to have allergy attacks as early as 21 years old."
'We're not Joey Marquez. We're not James Yap'
Jess also defended his older brother Nicko who is facing a complaint for 44 counts of qualified theft filed against him by Aquino.
The lawyer remarked that he and his brother, given their orientation, may put up a different fight than some of the men that the celebrity hosts and actress had locked horns with in the past.
“Don’t mess with the truth. Don’t mess with two gay brothers who have the truth on their side. We’re not Joey Marquez. We’re not James Yap,” Jess said.
“Kung wala kaming katotohanan sa panig namin, eh di bumigay na kami, nakaluhod na kami ngayon. Eh hindi kami nakaluhod eh. Bakit? May pinanghahawakan kaming katotohanan,” he added.
Jess clarified the comparisons to other men were merely his opinion as the past few months had been a trying time for their family.
Aquino accused Nicko of using over P1.2 million from the funds of her production company Kristina C. Aquino Productions (KCAP) for his personal expenses.
The lawyer claimed last November that his brother even received grave threats from actress over the allegation.
"'YOU F*CKING A*SH*LE NICKO!... DARE TO STEP IN THIS COUNTRY AND YOU WILL BE DEAD'," he quoted her as saying.
'The real issue'
Sought for comment on the claims made by Falcis during the press conference, the Aquino camp scored the lawyer for "deafening silence" on what they say is the "real issue."
"The real issue is the misappropriation of funds. First the unauthorized credit card charges. The second is on the P40M investments of Kris which Nicko could not account and refuses to account," lawyer Ricky Dela Cruz of Divina Law said.
"That is part of the trust fund, which Ms. Aquino worked hard for to ensure the future and financial security of her two sons. Ms. Kris Aquino entrusted that investment in good faith with Nicko Falcis," the lawyer added. — LA/NB, GMA News
