3 GMA telenovelas have been entertaining Latin American viewers

GMA dramas are making headway in telenovela territory, as three of Kapuso teleseryes begin airing in Latin America.

Camp favorite "Ika-6 Na Utos" is airing in Ecuador via Oromar Television as "Dulce Vegnaza," while Jennylyn Mercado’s “Second Chances” is known as “Una Nueva Oportunidad via Panamericana Television in Peru.

Meanwhile, Tom Rodriguez and Lovi Poe’s “Someone to Watch Over Me,” is airing in Uruguay via Monte Carlo TV as “No Me Olvides.”

GMA telenovelas launched in Peru in 2017 with "Cautiva" aka “Hanggang Makita Kang Muli,” thanks to Panamericana Television. With its success in ratings, it opened doors to more TV fare from the Philippines.

Peru's Panamericana then aired Poe’s “Someone to Watch Over Me,”(No Me Olvides) and “Second Chances” (Una Nueva Oportunidad), which is now on its second run.

In Ecuador, Oromar Television also picked up "Cautiva" and "Una Nueva Oportunidad," and has since then aired Spanish-dubbed GMA shows including "Impostora" (La Impostora), "Ika-6 Na Utos" (Dulce Venganza), “Someone to Watch Over Me” (No Me Olvides), and "Legally Blind" (Legalmente Ciega).

Uruguay followed its neighbors and has begun airing “Someone to Watch Over Me” (No Me Olvides), its first GMA telenovela.

Social media interaction follows the ratings success as Latin American viewers continue to rave about these Filipino TV shows.
