Christian Bautista sings a duet with Josh Groban

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista not only got to meet Josh Groban, he got to sing with him onstage too!

Christian first announced on Twitter that he will be the opening act for Josh Groban at the latter's Bridges Tour concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Friday night.

"Tonight im honored to open the show for the talented @joshgroban. I started my career singing his songs. Now I'm glad that i got to meet him and that i got to thank him for his music that inspired us all.I'm sure we will enjoy the songs he has prepared for all of us.Enjoy!," he posted on Twitter.

During the show itself, Josh told the crowd how grateful he is to be given the opportunity to perform with "incredible singers."

"It's so wonderful when you can visit a country and you can perform with incredible singers and incredible musicians that inspire you in that country," he said.

Before calling Christian onstage, Josh said: "I have known him just through the years. I've heard his voice, I've seen him on Twitter, and I have followed his story."

He also said Christian is "kind and talented."

When Christian walked onstage wearing Francis Libiran, Josh complimented him on his suit.

Christian then said that when he started joining singing contests, he would sing Josh's songs.

"Honestly, when I started singing in a singing contest, I sang all your songs — You're Still You, You Raise Me up, To Where You Are, all of that. So your music defined me when I was starting. And without you, I wouldn't be here right now. Such a blessing. It's true," he said.

"Aww. Thank you. Well, it's a pleasure to sing with you," Josh said.

They then sang "We Will Meet Once Again," which Josh said he first recorded with Andrea Bocelli 20 years after he first stood in for him at a rehearsal in 1999 when he was 17 years old.

Josh said the song is very special to him and Friday is the first time he sang the song in a concert.

"Such a pleasure to sing with you, Christian. Thanks so much for joining us here in Manila!" Josh wrote on Twitter.
