Nadine Samonte asked for prayers after getting hospitalized on her 29th week of pregnancy due to constant contractions.

"I had my contractions last Wednesday night. I needed to go immediately to the hospital since its every 5 minutes na; I got scared," Nadine wrote on her Instagram post Saturday.

The former Starstruck Avenger is still in the Maternal ICU for observation but reassured her followers that she is getting better.

"I'm still now in the hospital for monitoring but thank God and thank you to everyone who prayed for me. Nawala ang contractions ko. Well of course ang daming gamot and I'm still in the (MICU) Maternal ICU for observation."

She said it's been hard for her since she hasn't seen her daughter for days. "I just FaceTime [with] her (thank God my FaceTime) na lang and super nagtatampo siya na wala ako sa tabi niya. First time mawala siya sa tabi ko nang overnight or ganitong katagal."

Nadine asked for prayers to be able to survive this hurdle. She's only 29 weeks into her pregnancy.

"I'm asking for your prayers na magtuloy yung pag-stop ng contractions. I'm just 29 weeks. Its too early. I know we can survive this journey again."

Nadine said the results only show she has APAS, an autoimmune disorder that occurs in pregnant women.  Actor Rica Paralejo previously opened about having the same condition.

According to an article on Smart Parenting, APAS or Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APS or APAS) "occurs when the body’s immune system makes abnormal antibodies that attack and damage tissues or cells. Antibodies help defend the body against infection, but in the case of APS, the antibodies attack the body."

Nadine ended her post in a positive note saying she will fight to see her rainbow baby.

"God is good. Another rainbow baby on the way. Together we will fight this Titus. Just hold on, Mommy got you," she wrote before punctuating with several hashtags. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
