The official trailer of Dora the Explorer live-action film has been released and it's all sorts of awesome


"Dora the Explorer," the adventure-packed animated TV series that kids loved on Nickelodeon, has been adapted for a live action film, "Dora and the Lost City of Gold." On Sunday, its official trailer was released.

The trailer shows the story of teenage Dora who enters high school after spending most of her childhood in the jungle. On a school trip to a museum, a group of men captures Dora and her friends, and thus begins their adventure. 

Together with her friends, her cousin Diego and Boots, Dora will try to find and save her parents and solve the mysterious lost city of gold.

Dora will be played by 17-year-old actor-singer Isabela Moner, her parents will be played by Michael Peña and Eva Longoria.

The movie is under the helm of James Bobin with Julia Pistor, John Scottserving. It will open in cinemas on August 14.
