57% of celebrity candidates won during the midterm elections

According to the GMA News Research, 57% of the 91 running celebrity candidates won during this year's midterm elections, giving the nation more than 52 celebrity-politicians.

Counted as celebrities are the actors, singers, hosts, models, beauty queens, directors, journalists, and sports personalities such as athletes, trainers, team managers, and other media personalities in television, print or radio, said GMA News Research.

• Viva Hot Babe Jaycee Parker (Councilor, Angeles City, Pampanga)
• Singer Imelda Papin (Vice Governor, Camarines Sur)
• Actor Yul Servo (Congressman, 3rd District of Manila)
• Actor Hero Bautista (Councilor, 4th District of Quezon City)
• Actor Alfred Vargas (Congressman, 5th District of Quezon City).
