Michael V. tears up after performing 'Family History' theme song

Michael V. not only wrote, directed and produced the film "Family History", but he also wrote and composed the film's theme song, "Bat Gano'n?"

In GMA Picture's Facebook video posted on Wednesday, Michael V. said that he couldn't help tear up as he was performing the song, because of how much it resembled the tragic scenes from the movie.

"Malaki 'yung kinalaman doon sa storya, doon sa buhay ni Alex, yung main character natin dito sa 'Family History.' At noong ginagawa ko 'yung script doon sa part na 'yun, naiiyak na talaga ako eh."

"Tapos itong kantang to noong ginawa ko, okay walang problema pero pagpinerform mo na, alam mo na kung ano mangyayari sa pelikula parang nakakapag-internalize ka, nalalagay mo sarili mo doon sa eksena...so parang naramdaman ko, hindi ko napigilan," Michael V added.

Written with Mcoy Fundales, "Ba't Gano'n?" is derived from the actual question itself which, Michael V said, is the universal question people ask themselves when a worry passes by or an incident occurs.

Incidentally, Michael V. also wrote the only other song in the movie, "Ayoko Na," which his daughter, Brianna performed. 

"Family History", the comeback film of GMA Pictures, is set to hit cinemas nationwide this July 24.
