10 things you didn't know about Joyce Pring


Joyce Pring is making waves not only in the television industry, but online as well.

In a vlog she posted on Tuesday, she showed the world that there's so much more to know about this girl boss.

1. She's actually a Sunday school teacher

Joyce hasn't been shy in making the world know that she's a devoted Christian.

To what extent? Well, she doesn't just go to church on Sundays. She actually teaches in Sunday school for Christ's Commission Fellowship.

2. She was born and raised in Tondo, Manila

Although some people think she comes from a well-off family, she actually had humble beginnings. 

Born on May 4, 1993 in Tondo, Joyce grew up in Balut specifically and studied in Paez Elementary school.

It was only in high school that she moved to Quezon City and studied in Muñoz.

Joyce said her mom really worked hard so she could get a good education, and she vowed that to educate herself to the point that she'll be able to get out of what she was born into.

"I wanted something more. I wanted to live a life where I can not just live comfortably but also help other people. So I'm really proud of where I'm from," the Kapuso host said. 

3. She studied in a science high school

Joyce takes pride in the high school she came from: Quezon City Science High School.

Although she's not proud of her grades back then, she did say that she was involved in a lot of organizations.

Joyce said, "As in trip ko noon ay banda, part ako ng Himig, ng choral group, part ako ng Indak na dance troupe and nag-Journ din ako. I was one of the writers of the Journ team."

"I liked doing other stuff in high school. Aside from studying, I felt like I could grow so much in other areas of my life in high school and I did," she added.

4. She loves race car driving

However, because of her schedule, she hasn't been able to join races like in the past.

"I used to race cars," she said. "Hindi na ako nakapag-race dahil sa schedule ko."

The last time she raced, she admitted, was two years ago already.

5. She's a dog lover

Joyce admitted that she loved dogs, most especially her dog Bowie.

In an Instagram post, Joyce admitted that she was going through anxiety and depression when Bowie came into her life and she'll forever be grateful for his love and company.

6. She wanted to have five children

Joyce admitted that she really loved kids.

She said, "I loved teaching them. I loved taking care of them and my mommy senses are a bit more extreme than others because bata palang ako lagi nang iniiwan sakin mga pinsan ko."

That's why at an early age, she really dreamed of having five children. But everything changed when she saw her cousin give birth.

"Pero noong nakita kong pinanganak 'yung pamangkin kong si Yuna and I saw my cousin's C section stitched, I rethought and sabi ko pwede nang mga dalawa Lord," she joked.

Asked when she plans on getting married, Joyce answered, "You'd have to ask Juancho for that question.  I don't know when he's going to ask me."

She explained that since both of them are Christians and have the same perspective about relationships, it wasn't out of the question that she'd marry her boyfriend Juancho Triviño.

She said, "You shouldn't be shy to talk about marriage especially with your partner, because Juancho and I are both Christians, because the only reason why we're in a relationship is because we can see each other as someone we'd be able to marry someday, someone who will bring us closer to God and someone who will help us as we move forward in letting Christ be known."

8. She loves jazz

Joyce said that she absolutely loves music. Some of her favorite genres are jazz, blues, and classic rock.

She also mentioned that she loves watching musical plays as well and the latest one she watched was "Beautiful: A Carol King Musical" where her friend, Kayla Rivera starred in.

9. She's been helping World Vision since she was 18

She said in her vlog, "I started sponsoring when I was 18. With my first ever job, I started sponsoring kids for World Vision Philippines and I kept doing that and doing that."

10. She's literally a princess

Joyce's real name, she was embarrassed to reveal, was Princess Joyce Enaje Pring.

"Bago ka tumawa tandaan mo na maraming born in the 90's na may Princess ang pangalan," she joked.

She hasn't been quite proud of it because she isn't really princess-like, she said.

However, she added, "The only time I really started to feel I was a princess was when Juancho and I got together."

According to Joyce, Juancho really treats her like a princess and even says she is one.
