Jose Mari Chan officially kick-starts Christmas season on Sunday Pinasaya

On September 1, none other than Jose Mari Chan appeared on GMA’s Sunday Pinasaya and sang “Christmas in Our Hearts,” officially jumpstarting the Christmas season.

According to the legendary crooner, he feels flattered with all the memes and attention he gets come the 'Ber months. “Natutuwa ako, I’m complimented. I feel complimented and flattered. I wish they would not make offensive memes. You know, this song is a gift from our Lord that I share with our countrymen,” he told Jose Manalo.

The Filipino Christmas is said to be the longest Christmas season in the world. It  begins on September 1, when radio stations start playing Christmas Carols — or more specifically, "Christmas in Our Hearts."

On Sunday Pinasaya, Jose Mari shared he has a new Christmas album with 22 new songs, and much like how his daughter joined him on "Christmas in Our Hearts," family members will be joining him in his new songs.  — LA, GMA News
