Alden Richards remains a Kapuso after 9 years with GMA-7

Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards renewed his contract with GMA-7, remaining a Kapuso after working with the network for nine years now.

Present during Tuesday's contract signing were GMA Network's CEO and Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., Executive Vice President and CFO Felipe S. Yalong, and SVP for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable.

"Since I've started in GMA [and] until this point of my career, sila 'yung sumusugal sakin," Alden said.

"They gave me huge projects. They gave me huge opportunities and regardless kung successful o hindi, hindi sila tumitigil. Hindi nila ako pinabayaan, kahit minsan, wala nang [reason] to believe."

"Hinawakan nila kamay ko through ups and downs. Hindi ko nakita 'yun with others," the actor added.

Gozon said, "Siyempre tuwang-tuwa tayo na ang homegrown na si Alden ay isa na ngayon sa pinaka-sikat na artista sa Pilipinas. At si Alden, kahit sikat na sikat na, humble pa rin so sa tingin natin malayo pa talaga ang mararating niyan."

Duavit described Alden as a very dedicated, loyal and committed individual and  also said that GMA is extremely happy that Alden continues to be a Kapuso.

Rasonable said, "Throughout all these years parehong-pareho from the first time we worked with him in 'Alakdana' until now in 'The Gift', walang nagbago kaya siya mahal na mahal ng mga tao."

Alden previously said his purpose in life is to inspire and change the lives of people through his craft. 

Alden is set to have his primetime comeback with his new drama series "The Gift" which will premiere this September. — LA, GMA News
