The 20-year-old actress, who is currently on her 3rd year of college at the University of Asia and Pacific, says she's really just taking it one day at a time.

"It's more on just taking it day by day. My priority right now is 'yong showbiz, 'yong work ko. Pero at the same time ayoko naman din na ma-neglect din 'yong education ko, so it's just talking to my professors, talking to school and really trying my best po talaga na i-balance 'yong studies ko 'pag wala akong work," she added.

In a previous interview with GMA News Online, Ysabel said her dad, Senator Lapid gave her the blessing to transfer to the Kapuso network.

Ysabel is the daughter of newly-elected Senator Lito Lapid and Department of Social Welfare and Development assistant secretary Michelle Ortega, who married former Director Gregorio Pimentel, then head of the PNP Directorate for Intelligence in Baguio City in 2018.

Ysabel will star as Sabina, Alden Richards' half sister, in GMA-7's upcoming drama series "The Gift."

Other Kapuso stars who will be in the drama series include Jean Garcia, Jo Berry, Thia Thomalla, Martin del Rosario, Mikoy Morales, Christian Vasquez, Elizabeth Oropesa, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Mikee Quintos. — LA, GMA News
