Lexi Gonzales wants her 'Starstruck' journey to inspire the youth to never give up

Lexi Gonzales said on Wednesday that she wants her StarStruck journey to inspire the youth to never give up on their dreams. 

"Sa tingin ko po, 'yong matututunan nila, 'yong hindi ka susuko. 'Yon din po 'yong gusto ko eh, if ever din po manalo ako," Lexi told GMA Entertainment reporters in an interview after the StarStruck Final 4 press conference.

The StarStruck finalist said she wants to influence her fellow youth to give their all in whatever they aspire to be.

On what she gained from StarStruck

"Ngayon sa final 4, gusto ko pong ma-influence pa 'yong mga kabataan gaya ko, fellow youth na 'wag  sumuko kahit ano pa 'yan. You always give it [your] all. Lalo na kung gustong gusto mo, 'wag mong hahayaan na mahadalangan ka," she said.

"Kung gusto mo 'yan gawin mo, wala dapat makakapigil sayo tsaka 'wag ka magpapapaapekto kung anong sabihin ng ibang tao kasi kilala mo kung sino ka, believe it," she added

Lexi also believes she improved her acting skills with the help of the directors and the council.

"Unang una po sa acting siyempre marami po akong natutunan sa mga directors namin from the council," she said. "At tsaka 'yong pagiging versatile po 'yong iba iba dapat 'yong atake mo kasi iba iba naman po 'yong characters na binibigay hindi po puwede makita doon na si Lexi 'to dapat ibang 'to."

She said she also learned that putting out emotions should be natural and genuine.

"Tsaka siyempre 'yong relax ka lang, natural ka lang, dapat natural lang na lumalabas sayo tsaka dapat genuine 'yong emotions," she added.

On her dream role

Lexi said she always wanted to play a superhero role, a dream role "ever since bata ako. For me, nakaka-relate po ako sa pagiging superhero."

She said she believes she can do the role because her mother would always tell her she's the superhero of their family.

"Gusto ko maging superhero kapag naging artista ako i-pu-push ko na ako magkaron ako ng role na superhero," she added.

At the press conference, Lexi was joined by the rest of the StarStruck Final 4 hopefuls including Shayne Sava, Kim de Leon and Allen Ansay.
