Ysabel Ortega is officially a Kapuso

The sweet and talented Ysabel Ortega is now an official member of the Kapuso family after signing a contract with GMA Network on Thursday, September 26, 2019.

The promising 20-year-old actress and model is already making waves in the GMA-7 drama series “The Gift,” alongside Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards.

After her contract signing, the actress told entertainment reporters how grateful she is to be able to work with a such a well-respected group of actors for her first project.

Ysabel revealed it has always been a dream of hers to enter showbiz, partially because it was in her blood.

She looks up to her action star dad Lito Lapid and her singer-actress mom, Michelle Ortega.

"I grew up watching their movies (and) television shows and, doon, na-inspire ako," Ysabel said.

"'Yung mommy ko, lagi ko pong pinapanood 'yung mga videos niya online doon sa That's Entertainment, 'pag kumakanta siya. Sobrang idolize ko my mommy ag kumakanta...Tapos, syempre, 'yung daddy ko po, 'yung mga action films niya," she added.

According to Ysabel, having famous parents challenges her more than anything. "I'm taking it po as a challenge, and I'm not pressured Kasi 'yung family ko talaga is very supportive of what I do. What I love po about them is, kahit na I make mistakes, they teach me, they guide me, and they're very supportive and I think it's really good to have that foundation."

After finally getting her spotlight on The Gift, Ysabel said she's super excited for more projects with GMA.

"I'm so, so thankful...na they gave me the opportunity po na maging parte ng Kapuso network," she said. — LA, GMA News
