Paolo Contis continues to be a Kapuso after 15 years with GMA Network

Paolo Contis remains a member of the Kapuso family after renewing his contract with GMA Network on Friday.

The actor is currently on his 15th year with the network.

"Dito ako tumanda, in terms of nag-mature, in terms of my personal life, (and) professionally," he said after the signing.

"Basically, tahanan ko na talaga ang GMA," he added.

There to commemorate the actor's milestone was GMA CEO and Chairman Atty. Felipe Gozon, along with network executives GMA SVP for Entertainment Lilibeth Rasonable, GMA Senior AVP for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, GMA Artist Center AVP and head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMA Worldwide Inc. and GMA Network Films President Annette Gozon and GMA Artist Center Talent Manager Tracy Garcia.

"Tayo ay tuwang-tuwa na napili na naman tayo ni Paolo na manatili sa GMA, sapagkat isa siya sa mga magaling at loyal na artista natin for 15 years," Gozon said.

Paolo, who has delivered terrific performances on several of GMA-7 teleseryes, is also a well-loved mainstay on the channel's leading comedy sketch show Bubble Gang.

Rasonable praised his versatility, saying that he can do any role, from drama to comedy.

"Dati, nahahanay siya sa mga bad guy roles pero nang subukan natin siya... even sa good guy roles, he did it as well as sa villain roles niya," she said.

"So makikita mo 'yung range niya as an actor but we also want to develop him in the comedy genre kasi napaka-witty na tao," she added.
