Marian Rivera is totally cool with Dingdong-Jennylyn pairing for DOTS

Marian Rivera totally approves Jennylyn Mercado being cast as Dingdong Dantes' leading lady on "Descendants of the Sun." 

The Kapuso Primetime Queen, who spoke to reporters on Tuesday, said her fellow Kapuso actress was well-fitted to play the role.

"Si Jen talaga, bagay naman si Jen du'n eh. Tsaka andami niyang ginawa na mga kore-Korean eh," Marian said.

The Philippine remake of the hit Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun" is set to premiere on GMA-7 soon.

Jennylyn already started filming her scenes as Dr. Maxine, who will win the heart of "Big Boss" Captain Lucas played by Dingdong.

The Kapuso Primetime King and proud father of two voiced admiration for his talented co-star.

"Sobrang happy tsaka sobrang excited! Alam ko, sobrang maggaling ng pagganap ni Jennylyn bilang Dr. Kang and I'm looking forward na ma-shoot na namin ang lahat ng mga scenes together," Dingdong said.

To those who miss seeing the royal DongYan couple on-screen, Marian had some good news.

"Huwag silang mag-alala dahil gagawa kami ng paraan ni Dong na magkasama kaming dalawa," she shared in an interview on 24 Oras.
