Kris Aquino settles dispute with Nicko Falcis
A white flag has been waved over the long-running legal dispute between Kris Aquino and her former business partner Nicko Falcis.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Kris shared a statement from Divina Law saying she, Nicko, and his brother, Jesus Falcis, “have fairly settled all financial issues and amicably worked out all personal differences. To avoid any future misunderstanding, no further statement shall be forthcoming.”
In the caption, the celebrity endorser and former presidential daughter included a well-meaning message:
"LEARN from YESTERDAY...LIKE TODAY...but above all, make sure to LOVE TOMORROW."
Kris also explained to her followers that they were "free to discuss" the statement, just not on her feed.
"To permanently leave this chapter behind, and embrace all that lies ahead for me, comments for this post shall be turned off," Kris added.
Nicko likewise posted a statement on the settlement a few hours after Kris.
In the caption, he wrote: "Grateful for all the legal firms who have helped us and protected all of our mutual interests."
The drama between Kris and the Falcis brothers started last November when she accused Nicko, her ex-business partner, for supposedly using her funds for his personal use.
The two parties have been engaged in a bitter word war before the press and on social media.
In November 2018, Kris even filed complaints for qualified theft against Falcis.
Falcis, on the other hand, accused Kris of threatening to kill him if he came back to the Philippines from Bangkok.
Good to know that all is well between the two. Allow us to quote from Kris: love, love, love! — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
