Gretchen throws shade at niece Julia: 'Respect those who gave you a good life'

Gretchen Barretto has hit out at her niece Julia Barretto, as the family feud of the popular showbiz clan continued to play out on social media.

In a post on Instagram Stories, Gretchen posted a quote for Julia that read: "The most dangerous liars are those who think they are telling the truth."

Gretchen added a series of lines in her message to the young actress.

- "First know you are a Baldivia"
- "Love your father"
- "Not only when you need him for publicity"
- "Respect those who gave you a good life"
- "Only then, can you say you are successful"

She has been embroiled in a feud with her sister Marjorie, Julia's mother, that flared up during the wake of their father Miguel. The sisters have been exchanging fiery messages on social media.

Gretchen's broadside came after Julia posted a message of support for her mother, and Julia also posted a message on Instagram apologizing to her grandfather for recent events. "I’m sorry for how a solemn occasion and celebration of your life turned into a circus," Julia wrote.

Gretchen has previously been critical of Julia's alleged involvement in the break-up of Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo. Julia has denied being a party to that issue. —JST, GMA News
