Betong Sumaya to celebrate birthday with first solo concert
Betong Sumaya has made his name in the entertainment industry as the comedian who never fails to make anyone laugh.
But as he turns 44, Betong is set to reveal a different side to him. Check out his first solo concert, "Betong's Amazing Concert: Try Ko Lang Ha?"
According to Betong, he has always wanted to be a performer, not just a comedian. "Hindi lang ako sa comedy, pwede rin ako kumanta, pwede rin sumayaw, and at the same time mag-perform," Betong said at Tuesday's press conference.
He added, "And 'yun din po gusto ko, mag-perform. 'Yun 'yung ginagawa ko since high school and college."

Betong revealed that he was offered to have a concert since 2017.
"Two years ago pa binuo ito. Ako 'yung tumanggi," Betong said. "Sabi ko ngayon lagyan natin ng dahilan kung bakit ako magco-concert. Tapos tamang tama birthday ko ng November 21, and at the same time thanksgiving na rin."
Betong also announced that as a way to celebrate his success in the entertainment industry, he invited stars who helped him along the way.
According to the comedian, celebrities such as Michael V., Dingdong Dantes and Alden Richards will be joining him during the concert.
Presented by GMA Artist Center and Michael Angelo Productions, Betong's concert will be held in the Music Museum this coming November 21.
