Pia Wurtzbach: 'Marlon and family never financially depended on me'

A day after it was revealed that Pia Wurtzbach has split with professional race car driver Marlon Stockinger, the beauty queen clarified that her ex-boyfriend and his family never financially depended on her.

Pia released the statement through her business manager Rikka Infantado-Fernandez after rumors cropped up that this was the reason for their break up.

"I wish him and his family well, and out of respect for them, let me make it clear- Marlon and his family never depended on me financially. This will be my only statement on the matter," the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder said.

The couple broke up in September after being together for about three years, Infantado-Fernandez confirmed on Thursday.

They both unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted their couple photos, their last photo having been posted in May this year.
