Jasmine Curtis-Smith slams rapper for transphobic song

Jasmine Curtis-Smith slammed a rapper online for posting a video that discriminated against a transwoman.

Erich Bongon, also known as Young Vito, posted the video on Twitter, Wednesday, with the caption "awit may lawit".

In the video, Young Vito sung about his experience with a transwoman whom he originally thought was a biological female. He narrated how he found her beautiful and danced with her until he felt the transwoman's male reproductive organ.

He sang, "Ang ganda niya pero parang may mali. Noong dumikit meron akong napansin napakalupit awit may lawit."

Jasmine couldn't stand by and tolerate the transphobic song and immediately spoke up on Twitter.

"Anong problema mo sa mga magagandang may lawit? Ikaw ata may mali," she said.

She added, "Mag 2020 na soon, tigilan na 'yang pagkakitid ng utak pls. Report this BS."

Young Vito later released an apology for his song, saying that it drew attention for the right and wrong reasons.

But the Kapuso actress slammed his statement again, questioning how the rapper could say sorry and at the same time still not delete the video.

The video has over 3 million views already and  has received a wide range of reactions.
