V of BTS sends love to Pinoy fans amid Taal eruption

Kim Taehyung, also known as V of the Korean boy band BTS, has expressed concern for his Pinoy fans after the eruption of Taal volcano on Sunday.

News sites reported Tuesday that that the singer replied to a fan's post that called for prayers for Philippine "ARMYs."

"Please help Philippine ARMY...please #prayforthephilippines," the post read.

V reportedly replied, saying: "My heart really aches these days."

"I hope no one gets hurt and that nature doesn’t hurt any more people. Please. Really," he added.

The Taal volcano's phreatic or steam-driven eruption, over the weekend prompted thousands in the vicinity to be evacuated. Ash fell across several areas including Metro Manila shortly after.

Super Junior member Siwon Choi and singer-actor Kim Myung Soo, who held a fanmeet in Manila last Sunday, have also expressed their concern for the victims devastated by the calamity. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
