Iya Villania explains why she suddenly teared up on 'Mars Pa More'

Things got pretty emotional on "Mars Pa More" this week.

During Monday's special segment called "Hugot Playlist: Hugot ng Magulang, Idadaan sa Kanta," hosts Iya Villania-Arellano and Camille Prats-Yambao talked about emotional struggles as parents with their guests Gabby Eigenmann Arnel Pineda.

Iya suddenly teared up when it was her turn to share, saying: “Alam mo ilang beses ko 'yan prinaktis pero hindi ako umiyak!”

Then the TV host and proud mommy of two talked about her fear that there might come a time when her kids won't need her anymore.

"Alam ko kasi, bilang magulang na darating talaga tayo sa point na parang feeling mo hindi ka na nila kailangan. Sobra akong takot to get to that point, kasi at this point, sobra akong kailangan ng mga anak ko. Hindi ko ma-imagine kung ano'ng mangyayari sa kanila kung wala ako," Iya said.

Iya, however, was certain she would always be there for her kids whatever the future may hold.

“But even if that point comes, even if kunwari mag-away kami, even if we have disagreements — kunwari feeling ko 'ay sinagot niya ko. Hindi niya ko mahal' — isang tawag lang, anytime my children need me, I will be there.”

Iya, of course, laughed it off but her heartwarming answer got some applause from the audience.

Camille, who was also moved to tears beside Iya, patted her leg and assured her, "You're a great momma, Mars Iya."
