Ellen Adarna undergoes mental training in Bali after getting 'stuck in a black hole' for almost 3 years

Ellen Adarna on Saturday revealed she underwent mental training in Bali, Indonesia after getting "stuck in a black hole" for almost three years.

On her Instagram Stories, Ellen said she took part in a 14-day mental training on the famed Indonesian island to find inner peace.

"To everyone asking, I did mental training because I was stuck in this black hole for almost three years. My anti-depressants didn't do me any good, it made me immobile and numb," she said. "I was getting weaker mentally and emotionally —something had to be done."

According to Ellen, she endured a week-long isolation — with no phone and no contact with the outside world — so she can focus on her training.

Ellen's trainer recorded some videos and photos of her throughout her journey so she will be able to see her progress, and the actress shared them on her Instagram Stories.

There were a ton of mental exercises, including standing inside a circle for five hours straight, jumping for five kilometers for her "sanity," and standing on a block blindfolded.

She was also trapped in plastic wrap and had to figure out how to get out of it on her own. Ellen said she panicked the whole time and was unable to breathe at first but she eventually got out.

Aside from those, she also was tasked to cut Bermuda grass and arrange them "harmoniously" for four hours. She was to line them up on pieces of paper.

After her training, she received a certificate for her "courageous character and her efforts and achievements" from the meditative gymnastic program of the Kokoro Team Bali.

"I can now finally say, after years of struggling... I am no longer a prisoner in my own mind. Ahhhh!!! Freedom we meet again," she said.

After going on an Instagram hiatus for three years, the actress went back in early January, posting a video of her skiing in Switzerland.
