‘Write About Love’ wins award in Osaka Asian Film Festival

?The Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 entry “Write About Love” just bagged the ABC TV Award at the Osaka Asian Film Festival (OAFF) in Japan.?

With the win, the film is scheduled to air Japanese TV — on Asahi Broadcasting TV in Kansai, to be specific — before the OAFF in 2021.

The feel-good romantic comedy film stars Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino, Miles Ocampo, Yeng Constantino and Joem Bascon. It was directed by Crisanto Aquino.?

According to the OAFF website, the film won because it is a “wonderful comedy that can be cheerful and energetic if you watch it while incorporating serious themes.”

“The real world was 4?3, the movie scene was 16?9, and eventually the two worlds were mixed together and the production was very elaborate to the Sinesco size,” OAFF added.

"Congratulations team WAL! Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino!" Rocco wrote on Instagram, where he shared the good news.

At last year's MMFF, the film copped multiple awards including the Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, and Special Jury Prize.
