Patch Magtanong has been working with the office of Sen. Grace Poe to donate PPEs to aid COVID-19 frontliners
Beauty queen Patricia Magtanong, through the office of Sen. Grace Poe, has donated personal protective equipment to help frontliners who are battling against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the lawyer and Binibining Pilipinas International 2019 title holder happily shared that her donations have been successfully delivered to the National Center for Mental Health and the Philippine Children's Medical Center (PCMC).
Magtanong thanked Poe and her relief operations initiative Panday Bayanihan for their help. The beauty queen also thanked her friend and Poe's son Brian Poe Llamanzares for personally delivering the items to PCMC.
In a statement, Poe thanked "fellow UP alumna, Bb. Pilipinas International 2019 Atty. Patch Magtanong for her donation of PPEs. Through donors like Patch, we are able to help more hospitals in need."
Aside from giving donations, Magtanong revealed that she's been working with Poe's office in crafting and promoting legislation that are pro-women and children.
"Recently, we filed Senate Bill No. 1410 which abolishes a penal provision legitimizing honor killings against women and children. Looking forward to more!" she said.
