Chito Miranda praises Julie Anne San Jose's cover of 'Bagsakan'

Chito Miranda gushed over Julie Anne San Jose's cover of "Bagsakan," a song recorded by his band Parokya ni Edgar.

The Asia's Pop Sweetheart posted a video of her rendition on Instagram and she absolutely slayed the rapped parts of the song.

The cover caught the eye not only of netizens but of Chito himself, the band's lead singer.

"Iba ka talaga!!!" he wrote in the comments section.

In Cata Tibayan's report for "24 Oras," Julie Anne shared that Chito messaged her personally aside from commenting on the video.

The Kapuso singer admitted that it wasn't a walk in the park rapping the song on her own.

"Ngayon ko lang na-try na gawin mag-isa 'yung full song. Hindi talaga siya madaling gawin," the singer said. "Nakakabulol at nakakauhaw dahil tuloy-tuloy ang rap."

This is not the first time Chito praised Julie Anne's covers. Last year, he gushed over her cover of Parokya's "Your Song," which has reached over 20 million streams on Spotify. —Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
