Ruru Madrid almost turned down ‘Encantadia’ role because of bashers

Actor Ruru Madrid has revealed that he almost let go of the opportunity to play Ybarro in “Encatadia” after he received criticism from bashers.

In Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras” Friday, Ruru shared that many people had expressed their disapproval when they learned that he was going to play Dingdong Dantes’ role on the remake of the popular telefantasya series.

“Parang walang naniniwala na kaya ko. Grabe kasi ’yung bashers noon eh,” the actor said. “Noong una nakita nila na ako gaganap bilang Ybarro, ayaw nila. Sobrang ayaw nila.”

He added” “Sobrang nadepress ako noon. Nagmukmok ako noon.”

However, despite what he felt, he pushed on and decided he deserved the role.

“So nag-workout ako noon. Minahal ko sobra sobra yung role ko, ’yung show ko,” Ruru said.
