AiAi delas Alas reveals at least 2 roles she hasn’t played yet in 30 years in show biz

AiAi delas Alas has breathed life to many memorable characters in her 30 years in show business, but the award-winning Kapuso actress is determined to explore her versatility even further.

After signing a new contract with GMA Artist Center on Friday, AiAi said there were many more roles she still wanted to try, and named at least two off the top of her head.

“Never pa ako naging madre. Never pa rin ako nagkaroon ng role ng Alzheimer’s (patient) sa movie. Marami pa! Marami pang puwede,” she said.

AiAi almost said she had not yet played the role of a prostitute, only to realize later that she already had. In fact, the actress had received three international awards for it.

In Louie Ignacio’s 2016 film “Area,” she portrayed a middle-aged woman who lived her glory days in the brothel-filled district of Angeles City in Pampanga.

AiAi said this was one of her “most memorable” movie roles, apart from her many projects as a Kapuso.

She is currently the host of GMA-7’s reality talent competition show “The Clash” and a judge for the segment “Walang Talent Show” on weekend variety show “All-Out Sundays.”

After her contract signing on Friday, the Comedy Concert Queen said she planned to stay with GMA and continue her career as a Kapuso “for good.”

“It’s payback time,” AiAi said.

“Lalo na dito nag-start ang career ko, so I’m coming home for good, kasi 30 years ko na rin in the business.” – RC, GMA News
