Rich Asuncion migrates to Australia, tries working as a waitress: 'Di na ko ako nagpaka-choosy'

Rich Asuncion is now living with her family in Australia, trading her glitz and glamor life as an actress for a simpler one.

On Instagram, Rich posted a photo of a bicycle on a bridge and on the caption, turned reflective.

She happily shared that she's just gotten her first pay check in her new job, as a waitress.

"Malaking bagay 'to dahil sa panahon ngayon, ang hirap humanap ng dahilan para sumaya," she said.

Rich is still adjusting to her new life in Australia and admitted that it took her a long time to find a job.

According to Rich, there are a lot of opportunities in Australia — as long as you're not choosy.

Casual job at a restaurant," she narrated.

Long post ahead! Casual job at a restaurant. At wala akong karapatan maginarte kasi nabigyan ako panibagong chance to start anew . My point here is, I know most of us will need to adjust to a new/different life after this pandemic. And that’s not all that bad. To be able to survive through this is already a blessing. As hard as it may seem, look for the silver lining. Hold on and say I am still a champion. Be grateful because some people have lost more than you already have. ????Nakapag-enrol na rin ako to continue my studies and last week, I was offered a full-time job at a Daycare where I can work closely with Bela. Life is indeed a journey full of highs and lows but you should never stop moving and you always keep moving forwards. P.S. Ben and I have also just put down a reservation for our future home here in Australia. What a blessing!????

The former First Princess of Starstruck admitted she was uncomfortable with the idea at first, eventually realizing there's really nothing wrong with her job.

"At wala akong karapatan maginarte kasi nabigyan ako panibagong chance to start anew," she added.

Rich said her point is that she knows how most people will have to adjust to a new life after the pandemic.

The actress said doing that is "not all that bad."

"To be able to survive through this is already a blessing. As hard as it may seem, look for the silver lining. Hold on and say I am still a champion," she wrote.

Rich encouraged those who are adapting to new changes to "be grateful because some people have lost more than you already have."

Rich has been reaching new milestones in Australia. Aside from a new job, she's also enrolled herself to continue her study and she was also offered a full-time job at a daycare where she can work closely with her daughter Bela.

Rich said she and her husband Ben have also started working towards after they put down a reservation for their future home in Australia.

"Life is indeed a journey full of highs and lows but you should never stop moving and you always keep moving forward," she wrote.
