Blackpink breaks multiple Guinness World Records with 'How You Like That'


It's official: Blackpink has made history.

The world famous K-pop group has broken several Guinness World Records titles with the music video of their comeback single "How You Like That."

According to the Guinness World Records website, Blackpink's new video has set new records for the following:

- Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours
- Most viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours
- Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group

These three records had previously been held by K-pop boy band BTS for their music video with Halsey called "Boy With Luv," which dropped on April 2019.

The "How You Like That" music video garnered 86.3 million views within the first day of release.

The Guinness World Records added that YouTube has confirmed that the live premiere of "How You Like That" reached 1.66 million peak concurrent viewers, subsequently setting two new record titles for the following:

- Most viewers for the premiere of a video on YouTube
- Most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube

"How You Like That" is Blackpink's comeback single in over a year, not counting their collaboration song with Lady Gaga titled "Sour Candy."

Formed in 2016, Blackpink is a South Korean girl group consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
