Solenn Heussaff opens up on the challenges of breastfeeding

Solenn Heussaff has opened up on the challenges she faced while breastfeeding Baby Thylane.

In Nelson Canlas' report for "24 Oras," the actress confessed that she could not produce enough milk to fully breastfeed her daughter.

The new mother said she even tried eating malunggay and halaan to help increase her milk supply.

"Basta kung anong meron nasa book ti-nry ko. Nag-increase naman pero hindi pa rin sufficient para sa needs ng baby," she said.

Solenn said she had to be more "open-minded" about feeding Baby Thylane formula milk.

"Sabi nila a happy mom is a happy baby. So kung happy ka by mixed feeding or purely formula ok naman, happy 'yung baby para hindi siya ma-stress," she said.

On the bright side, feeding Baby Thylane formula milk has now allowed Solenn to focus on her getting back into shape.

"Ngayon na mas sa formula 'yung baby, puwede na akong mag-diet talaga, so I've been really dieting the last few weeks," she said, adding that she is also exercising.
