"Magpakailanman" will be featuring the life story of DJ Loonyo this Saturday, July 18, with Jak Roberto playing the viral "Dance King ng Quarantine."
In an interview on "Unang Hirit," the Kapuso actor revealed how he prepared himself for the role.
Without revealing too many details about the feature, Jak shared that he had to master several dance routines to portray DJ Loonyo.
The actor also shared how the team has been able to adjust to the "new normal" by abiding by proper safety protocols while filming.
"Very safe naman po sa set, pumunta kami sa location na walang COVID cases sa Norzagaray. (Nag-disinfect) din and 'yung mga bahay na ginamit namin, as in wala rin pong tao," Jak said.
DJ Loonio, whose real name is Rhemuel Lunio, was born and raised in Cagayan de Oro.
The dancer, discjockey and choreographer gained internet fame by participating in various dance challenges and sharing the videos online on social media.
He also received some major flak from netizens earlier this year after making controversial comments about "mass testing."
Catch Jak Roberto as DJ Loonyo on "Magpakailanman" this Saturday, July 18 on GMA-7 after "Pepito Manaloto."
