On August 29, Chadwick was confirmed to have passed away after a four-year battle with colon cancer.

Although Chadwick was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in 2016 and it progressed to Stage 4 for the past four years, it didn't stop him from joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Panther in 2016, and later starring in his own Marvel film "Black Panther" (2018).

He also joined "Avengers: Infinity War" in 2018 and "Avengers: Endgame" in 2019.

He was supposed to reprise his role as Black Panther in its sequel movie slated for 2022. —Kaela Malig/JCB, GMA News
