Ben&Ben launches official fan club ‘Lights’

Ben&Ben just launched their own official fan club, “Lights.”

In a tweet on Thursday, the nine-member OPM band said the new fan club is their way of helping spread the band's message of faith and love.

“It has been a good three years with all of you. We are forever thankful so today, we are naming the official Ben&Ben Fandom, ‘Lights,’” the band tweeted.

It added, “you have ALWAYS been the light to the 9 of us. You keep us grounded in our purpose.”

Ben&Ben explained that the name “Lights” came from their song “Limasawa Street” wherein Limasawa meant “a place of Light.”

The group, known for their hit songs “Araw-araw” and “Pagtingin,” also shared that it named the fandom “Lights” to remind everyone that we “can be bearers of hope in these dark times.”

“We can be Lights to others. And we can do so by being united in soaring higher together!” it shared.

Ben&Ben also clarified that they are in good terms with the founders of the Ben&Ben BBs community, another fandom of the band.

Just last month, Ben&Ben launched their own Youtube channel called BBTV and has since then covered K-pop songs such as BTS’ “Dynamite” and NCT Dream’s “Beautiful Time.” — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
