'The Boobay and Tekla Show' tapes fresh episodes with virtual audience

"The Boobay and Tekla Show" is returning with fresh episodes six months after tapings had to be suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," the comedy show is adjusting to the new normal by using a virtual audience instead of having a crowd.

"Bago kami pumasok sa studio parang clueless kami kung anong mangyayari, kung anong magiging environment sa loob," Boobay said.

"Nanibago kami kasi onti lang 'yung tao, walang studio audience," she added. "Kasi parang importante sa amin nakikita 'yung reaction ng live."

While the new arrangement has its downsides, one advantage is now even Filipinos abroad and not just locals can be among the spectators.
