Volleyball player John Vic De Guzman is now a Kapuso!

John Vic De Guzman, the team captain of the Philippine men's national volleyball team, is now a proud Kapuso!

According to Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," the 2019 Southeast Asian Games silver medalist is the newest heartthrob in the GMA Artist Center.

"Sobrang excited po ako and sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako sa GMA na tinanggap po ako para maging part ng family," he said. "Excited po akong matuto ng acting."

John Vic hopes to work with some of his friends in the network, like his Benilde schoolmates Rita Daniela and Anna Vicente.

He also previously worked with Sanya Lopez in the film "Wild and Free" and Kiray Celis in "Class of 2018."

John Vic, however, said he will continue to play volleyball while pursuing a career in show business.

"Ang paglalaro ng volleyball kasi po tsaka sa sports, hindi po sobrang haba hanggang tumanda ka. Dadating 'yung point na hindi ka na malakas, hindi ka na kasing galing nung mga bata," he said.

"Sa acting gusto ko pong i-grab 'yung opportunity na 'to dahil s'yempre in the long run, sa future," he said. —MGP, GMA News
