Alden Richards to host new Kapuso documentary 'Lockdown: Food Diaries'
Alden Richards is the host of a new GMA Public Affairs documentary called "Lockdown: Food Diaries."
In Aubrey Carampel's report for "24 Oras," the Asia's Multimedia Star said the show will discuss how the coronavirus pandemic affected the food industry.
"Very compatible din siya sa akin since meron tayong mga restaurants and I can really speak first-hand from experience kung ano talaga 'yung naranasan namin," said the Kapuso actor.
Alden admitted his own businesses have been affected by the community quarantine, but he is soldiering on as long as they can cover operating expenses.
"Kahit wala kaming kitain, as long as covered 'yung expenses, kasi survival ngayon ang mode e. Hindi lang ng food business kundi nang lahat ng mga negosyo," he said. "Kailangan mong mag-survive, kailangan mo lang lagpasan."
Alden said the documentary will also tackle the sudden boom in online selling.
"The best way to adjust and survive is to sell products online na pagkain," he said.
Alden recently returned to work in the taping of GMA's new drama anthology "I Can See You: Love on the Balcony," where he stars opposite Jasmine Curtis-Smith. —MGP, GMA News
