Here's what to expect from 'The Clash' judges this coming season

It's not everyday the renowned singing competition "The Clash" airs amid a pandemic.

Despite new circumstances, judges Christian Bautista, Lani Misalucha, and Ai-ai delas Alas shared that there are some things that the audience and the contestants can still expect from them.

Although Christian shared how he thought of being nicer this coming season, he shared that he will still be strict and want the best for the contestants.

"Magiging extra nice ba ako kasi kawawa naman, lahat tayo hirap. So ang sinabi ko sa sarili ko, maybe in the beginning I'll be a little less serious. But I owe it to the show, to the past seasons to be stricter in the next challenges because we still want the best Clasher," the singer said during the contest's media conference on Wednesday.

He added, "Whether it's a pandemic or not, 'yun talaga, 'The Clash' is a hard contest."

Meanwhile, Lani shared that she chooses to be motherly for this season, to also balance out Christian's strictness.

"Since si Christian na medyo strikto, ako naman motherly. Pinipilit ko sabihin in a nicer way," Lani said.

Ai-Ai also shared that her outfits during the competition won't change and will still be very extravagant.

"Ganoon pa rin sa mga outfit ko, magpasabog," the comedian said. "Most of the time mabait ako. Mabait lang ako nang 'onti pero sa bandang gitna lagot na sila sa 'kin."

The judges admitted that these times were extremely hard and crucial, especially since everyone is has their own grievances and difficulties.

"Obviously mahirap mag-reject ngayon, kasi as much as possible gusto mo tumulong pero alam naman nila na isa lang mananalo. Alam din nila na they really have to do their best and not rely on their stories to win," Christian said.

"The Clash Season 3," with Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose as the The Clash Masters for this season, premieres on October 3.

The first grand winner of "The Clash" is Golden Canedo while the winner for its second season is Jeremiah Tiangco. — LA, GMA News
