Mikee Quintos and Kelvin Miranda will star in the new romantic comedy series "The Lost Recipe."
In Lhar Santiago's report for "24 Oras," Director Monti Parungao said the show tells the "love story of two great cooks."
Mikee and Kelvin said they were surprised with the announcement of their roles, as they thought they were only doing a screen test.
"Nakailang kape na ako sa sobrang preparation ko, talagang wala akong alam na talagang napili na," Kelvin said. "Nakakatuwa na nakakanginig sa sobrang saya."
The actor previously appeared in Kapuso drama "Madrasta" and the 2019 Netflix film "Dead Kids."
Mikee, meanwhile, played Lira in the "Encantadia" remake and also appeared in "Onanay" and "The Gift."
The actress said she has dreaming of starring in a rom-com series.
"'Yun po talaga pinagdadasal ko ever since and I'm happy it's with Kelvin din I'm excited to work with him and the whole team," Mikee said.
Parungao said he can already sense the chemistry between the two actors.
"Single naman po ako, wala namang magagalit," Mikee teased Kelvin, who has fallen silent with her quip.
"Sisimulan ko na ngayon manood ng mga K-dramas para malaman ko kung paano 'yung paraan kung paano nila ginagawa 'yung mga eksena," he said. —MGP, GMA News
