Vic Sotto speaks up about daughter Tali's bashers: 'Iniintindi ko na lang'

While a lot of people gush over her cuteness, Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna's daughter Tali has also been receiving hateful comments on social media.

In a one-on-one virtual interview on "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," Vic said he chooses to focus on the fact that Tali makes many people happy.

“Ang importante naman mas marami yung, mas higit na nakararami 'yung napapasaya ni Tali. Mga napapa-smile niya sa araw-araw sa tuwing magpo-post yung kanyang nanay," Vic said.

The "Eat Bulaga" host then said that he just tries to understand the possible reasons behind the bashing.

“Tapos 'yung mga ilan na hindi natutuwa, ako, hindi ko na lang pinapansin 'yon eh. Pinagpapasa-Diyos ko na lang 'yon. I try to understand these people dahil malay natin baka may pinagdadaanan or may problema lang sa buhay, mainit ang ulo niya at that time. Iniintindi ko na lang 'yon. Mas importante, mas nakararami 'yung good comments,” he added.

With her guest appearances on her father's show "Eat Bulaga" and her mom's frequent posts on social media, Baby Tali has turned into quite the celebrity.

However, in August, Pauleen Luna could not help but defend her daughter from a basher who reposted photos of Tali with a comment saying: "Pangit na bata."

According to GMA Entertainment, the actress and host told the netizen: “I would just like to let you know that I can sue you for shaming and cyberbullying a minor."

The netizen later apologized to the Sottos and their fans following the backlash.

In his conversation with GMA News' Jessica Soho on KMJS, Vic said he understood how everybody is able to speak their minds on social media, but he also understood the risk and the disadvantage that came with it as well.

Therefore, the host emphasized that all netizens should be responsible at all times.

“One of the risks, one disadvantage lalo na sa social media natin ngayon, mayroon din talaga tayong mga kababayan ngayon na iresponsable sa paggamit ng social media," he said.

“Hindi naman natin mako-correct ang mga ugali nila. Bahala na sila. Kanya-kanya namang opinyon 'yan. Nasa demokrasya tayo pero let's be responsible sa ating mga post, sa ating mga comment,” he added. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
