With the upcoming release of “Breathe You,” Heart Evangelista’s self-produced single recorded back in 2005, the actress revealed just what was her inspiration behind the music.

“I do remember the inspiration, but I don’t remember the feeling. Charot!” Heart told GMA News Online last week.

Joking aside, Heart shared that the song was inspired by what was happening right in front of her 15 years ago.

“I was inspired with what was in front of me at that very moment, the feeling of becoming a woman. I was young, 21, it was a complete turnaround from being a 19-year old,” Heart said.

“Becoming a lady, feeling you own your time, you’re free to do whatever and your dream is slowly becoming a reality, ’yun ’yung na-feel ko din sa time na ’yun at sa song,” she added.

According to the actress, the time she recorded the song felt like “three lifetimes ago.”

“You know, it was the first time I could call the shots. If I liked the song I could sing the song, I could do whatever. It was just so liberating for me at the time,” she said.

“That was really a good chapter of my life. This song really reminds me of that time.”

She added: “We made the song very me and it was just a good time in my life. I just turned 21. I just found my independence noong time na ’yun na I just want to share it with everyone.”
