While Typhoon Ulysses raged on, Donnalyn Bartolome was out there helping with rescue efforts.

The vlogger and internet personality on Thursday bought boats to be delivered in areas not yet reached by rescuers.

Through social media, Donnalyn gathered fellow volunteers to help her and sent boats to residences in Marikina and Rizal.

She shared that her car's engine died due to the floods.

"Sorry, natutuliro ako kasi natirikan kami. So tinotow truck kami ngayon, naka-tow kami. Please, baka meron kayong Coast Guard diyan," she said.

Later, she thanked those who volunteered to help those affected by Ulysses' wrath.

"Thank you volunteers by do and by heart. We know you wanted to be there but staying safe is a big help na during this time," she said.

Ulysses killed at least seven people and unleashed some of the worst flooding in years in the capital Manila.

It struck areas still reeling from Super Typhoon Rolly (Goni), the most powerful typhoon in the world this year, which killed 25 people and destroyed thousands of homes earlier this month. —JCB, GMA News
