Jasmine Curtis-Smith helps distribute donations from AKTOR to San Mateo LGU


Jasmine Curtis-Smith personally went to the San Mateo LGU to extend help and bring the donation that the organization AKTOR was able to collect for victims of the typhoon.

On Facebook, the San Mateo LGU shared photos of Jasmine, wearing a mask, her hands in gloves, and hard at work. 

Among the donations she distributed were food packs, slippers, and vitamins, the LGU shared.

"Hindi lang pag-asa ang inyong dinala sa aming bayan kundi maging ang galak sa aming mga puso," read a portion of San Mateo LGU's FB post.

"Saludo po ang Bayan ng San Mateo sa inyo," it added, thanking the Kapuso actress and the organization to which she belongs.

San Mateo was among the places badly hit by Typhoon Ulysses. Of the 15 barangays in the muncipality, 10 were submerged in flood.

On Saturday, Acting Mayor Paeng Diaz said San Mateo will be placed under the state of calamity, pending approval of its municipal council.

AKTOR is an organization that aims to create a community of actors who will fight to craft "new stories to help build a better country" and are determined to speak out on important issues. It was established on May 30, 2020.

Jasmine is one of a handful of celebrities who are taking action and mobilizing to help the victims of Typhoon Ulysses. — LA, GMA News
