KC Concepcion sells handcrafted jewelry to help typhoon victims in Cagayan

KC Concepcion is selling ready-made jewelry from her own shop to raise money for rescue and relief efforts in Cagayan.

As seen in her recent Instagram posts, the actress and TV host flew over the province this week and expressed great dismay over the severe flooding brought by Typhoon Ulysses.

"Please keep the people of Cagayan, Northern Philippines in your list of communities to help, following this recent flooding and devastation," KC said.

For her part, the celebrity announced she will be selling ready-made, handcrafted pieces from her jewelry line Avec Moi, which usually sells made-to-order pieces that would take four weeks to craft.

She said that proceeds would go to immediate rescue and relief efforts in the province.

KC shared a photo of herself wearing one of her creations, the Jadrin de noel “coin pendant” necklace made of malachite stone and white diamonds.

According to KC, those who wish to help the cause can avail of Avec Moi pieces to be made available starting Tuesday.

Thousands of people lost their homes after Typhoon Ulysses swept across Luzon last week, bringing strong winds and heavy rainfall that triggered devastating floods and massive power interruptions.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the death toll from the typhoon has reached 67, 22 of which were from the Cagayan Valley Region. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
