Richard Yap hopes to work with Michael V. and do comedy now that he's a Kapuso

Now that's officially a Kapuso, Richard Yap said he is hoping to do comedy projects and get to work with Kapuso comedy genius Michael V.

Richard told GMA News Online that he plans to venture into comedy and action.

"We're planning to experiment into all genres right now. We can do comedy, we can do action, we can do romcom again. We're really open to doing anything right now to see what fits and what works with us," he shared.

The Chinoy actor admitted he has been following the long-running gag show "Bubble Gang," explaining why he hopes to work with Bitoy.

"Siguro... I've been following Bubble Gang for a long time, ever since I was how many years ago was that...so Michael V. is one of the male actors that I would like to work with," he said.

Richard said he would love to work with all the Kapuso artists he has never worked with before.

Richard admits to feeling "overwhelmed" now that he is part of the GMA family. He never thought this day would come, he said.

Last August, the Filipino-Chinese actor posted a behind-the-scenes photo with Kapuso stars Ken Chan and Rita Daniela for the film project "My First Your Last."

Lotlot de Leon will also be part of the cast. The film will be directed by Louie Ignacia and Rosswill HIlario under Heaven's Entertainment.
