Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza and more Kapuso stars nominated for 2021 PMPC Star Awards

Several Kapuso stars have been nominated for top prizes in this year's 2021 Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards For Movies.

According to a report on "Unang Hirit," Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards is in the running to win Movie Actor of the Year for his performance in “Hello,  Love, Goodbye.”

The Kapuso actor and his co-star Kathryn Bernardo were also nominated for Movie Love Team of the Year.

The two are up against real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos, who starred in “LSS," and Maine Mendoza and Carlo Aquino, who starred in "Isa Pa with Feelings."

David Licauco, who starred in the 2019 romance "Because I Love You" and Royce Cabrera, who starred in the Cinemalaya film "Fuccbois," were both nominated for New Movie Actor of the Year.

Michelle Dee, on the other hand, is in the running to become PMPC's New Movie Actress of the Year for her performance in "Because I Love You." —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
