Song Joong Ki on viewer demands for 'Vincenzo' Season 2: 'I’m thankful that there seem to be many people who want it'

The "Vincenzo" fever is still raging, two days after the finale dropped.

In an interview report on Soompi, Song Joong Ki expressed his thoughts on the viewers demand for a second season.

“There are no discussions about season two at all," Joong Ki straightforwardly answered, adding "I’m thankful that there seem to be many people who want it."

"It is unlikely that there will be any internal discussions about season two in the future," he added.

"Vincenzo" has been in the top 10 trending list since its premiere in Febraury. The series finale of the show became the 6th highest rating in South Korean network tvN's history, according to Soompi.

Despite the seeming certainty that there won't be a second season, we'll still be seeing more of Joong Ki in other projects, with "Bogota likely to begin filming in Korea this month," he said.

"Since I can’t go to Colombia, I’ll have to hear what they’ll do using technology," he added.

The team was supposed to fly out to Colombia to shoot the film but as with everything, the pandemic postponed it.

"The producers and investors must be feeling devastated after it was paused during the difficult times, but I will wrap it up as best I can as the lead actor," he said.

According to Soompi, “Bogotá” will be a crime thriller about youths who leave Korea for Colombia in the 1990s.
