Bea Alonzo on joining GMA Network: ‘It came at the right time. I felt empowered and ready to chase my dreams'


Bea Alonzo said she is happy to be part of GMA Network and the Kapuso family.

In an online interview with the press on Thursday, the actress revealed that it took her months to come up with a decision on her transfer.

“I was thinking, reflecting about what I want to do. There have been a lot of changes the past year and when GMA’s offer came, it came at the right time,” she said in English and Filipino.

According to Bea, the opportunity “fell on my lap at the right time and I seized, took it.”

“It was the right thing to do because I’m happy,” she said.

Now on to a new chapter in her life and career, Bea vows to give her all for the viewers.

“I will do my best to give you quality performance because that’s what you deserve. I am excited to work with Kapuso stars, writers, and directors,” she said.

As of writing, the hashtag #ProudToBEAKapuso is the second trending topic on Philippine Twitter with over 7,000 tweets from fans extending their support for Bea.

Bea Alonzo officially became a part of the Kapuso family on Thursday afternoon.

She is set to star alongside Alden Richards in a movie inspired by the Japanese series “Pure Soul,” which has been remade into the hit South Korean movie “A Moment to Remember.” — LA, GMA News
